Moustache Man and I found this gem of a photo spot on a stroll through the neighborhood. Even though I get embarrassed taking photos in public, it’s actually been fun looking for cool settings. MM has been trying to push for the indoor shots again, but I put my foot down. No more boring photos, I said!
Are we all looking forward to Fashion Week? I know I am. Yeah, yeah, yeah! Or as C would say, “Sparkle fuck!”

Hello

It’s my summer break and I’ve been a lazy bum. But I’m going to get my act together starting with more posts. Isn’t the red on red combo interesting? Your better judgement tells you that it won’t work, but then your instinct kicks in and says, fuck you judgement, I’m gonna do it my way. Moustache Man and I have been watching an old season of Project Runway. As the girl was packing up her belongings in the last episode, she said that she’s going international. I could use more self confidence, but sometimes I’m grateful for being self aware. It’s like P says, not everyone should be allowed to have dreams.
On a side note . . . congrats to brigadeiro! That lucky little munchkin is going to have some fancy dress up clothes!!

Mayle Takes a Bow

Jane Mayle says farewell this November with her last collection and retirement from the brand. With profits up to five million yearly, the lack of success does not play into her reasons for an exit. Instead the rat race pressure of creating collection after collection without the time to relish in her creations has caused her fashion fatigue. “I feel I have just become another cog in that machinery,” she said to WWD in reference to the accelerated production processes. As a result, the designer who finds inspiration creating clothing pieces for the sake of dreaming has decided that her leave will maintain the meaning of her work. With fashion darlings like Alexander Wang prohibiting celebrity attendance from his recent fashion show, perhaps others are feeling the same need for “fashion for fashion’s sake.”
