catch me if you can

I have a feeling I’m being watched . . .
I coaxed Moustache Man to take more outdoor photos with promises of green tea chai. It displeased him when he realized it was a hoax.
Per chance I was in Helmut Lang today and I fell head first for this drapey dress in a rusty gold. I’ve been craving something yellow in my wardrobe since the beginning of spring. I’ve also been craving olive, white and sequins, which isn’t even a color. I believe all this can be remedied with some shopping. What a brilliant diagnosis.

Why not smile

I’d like to share my new mantra with y’all. Ironically there isn’t even a smirk in the pics, but trust that I’m smiling on the inside.
The blog has been a yawn fest so I decided to take a little field trip. Moustache Man came along for the adventure and green tea chai. It tastes like liquid green tea ice cream.
I wish I could have gone to Marfa with the BuyDefinition gals, but alas. I will live vicariously through Marfa Lites.

Fat Trash

It took me until now to realize why I’ve been getting so much penis enlargement spam.
I continue to revel in these cross back bras. You know how much I love layering and parties in the back.
This is my first Alice & Olivia purchase. I’ve avoided them because of this dress, which is burned in my mind when it comes to the brand. But the pants are cool and Maria Cornejo like without being as expensive. I may have to to do a nip and tuck to the tabs at the hem (I tucked them in for the photos), but other than that they’re just dandy.

Liberation Front

I don’t like bras. I’d go braless if it wasn’t for the whole nipple issue. Which leads me to disclose a great solution: an overpriced fashion sports bra. It’s comfortable and covers side boobage. Love it. Plus it makes a bare back a bit more interesting.
I’ve been getting an eyeful of the men’s shows. Any favorites so far? I felt that even though they were spring collections most of the palettes were very dark. Maybe that’s why D&G and Bottega Veneta stood out. But Ann Demeulemeester and Burberry Prorsum were my favorite. All the stark white Demeulemeester pieces really made an impact on the runway and the Bailey’s “heritage biker” boys were badass. I think Moustache Man needs a pair of those leather pants!

Boy or girl?

Moustache Man and I attempted some more shots outside and found this secluded sweet spot. He had to hoist me onto a metal caddy and I had to hope it didn’t crumble into tiny pieces. I found the top and shorts at Creatures of Comfort last week. Why do you always end up buying when your intent is to browse and not spend money? Because you have issues. But I couldn’t resist the tomboy quality of these Alexandre Herchcovitch shorts, and the T by Alex Wang tank matched perfectly.
I’m still on the hunt for the Wang socks from spring ’10, but they’ve sold out everywhere. I think I’ve beeen cursed because of this post. I take it back!! Wang gods I beg forgiveness! Whether or not I find those socks, I have some new legwear to debut. I just got them from Lambs Ear and think they’re going to be quite an addition to my closet! To be continued . . .
